Assessment of Nutritional Status of Patients on the Maintenance Hemodialysis at Tertiary Care Hospital using Malnutrition Inflammatory Score
نویسندگان
چکیده
Objective: To determine the frequency of protein energy wasting among end stage renal disease patients on maintenance hemodialysis.
 Study Design: Cross-sectional analytical study.
Place and Duration Study: Department Nephrology, Pak Emirates Military Hospital, Rawalpindi Pakistan, from May 2019 to Mar 2020.
Methodology: Two hundered diagnosed with end-stage hemodialysis were included in study. Protein-energy was assessed using Malnutrition inflammatory score comprising four x components: medical history, physical examination, laboratory parameters body mass index. used categorize protein-energy wasting.
Results: Out 200 ESRD hemodialysis, 73(36.5%) had mild, 120(60.0 %) moderate, 7(3.5%) severe wasting. The advanced age group, multiple comorbid (diabetes mellitus, hypertension, ischemic heart disease), duration (> 2 years) a statistically significant association (p-value < 0.05). also more prevalent low monthly income 0.04).
Conclusion: is common hemodialysis.Old comorbid, are important risk factors.

متن کاملAssessment of Adequacy of Hemodialysis and Nutritional Status in Patients on Maintenance Hemodialysis at Dialysis Centre
Background: In patients suffering from ESRD quality of life can be maintained by hemodialysis, CAPD or renal transplant. Adequate dose of hemodialysis is necessary for good quality of life. The hemodialysis adequacy is one of the most important issues influencing the survival of patients on maintenance hemodialysis. Aim: To compare Kt/V measurement by online clearance module with conventional e...

data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...
Prediction of Malnutrition Using Modified Subjective Global Assessment-dialysis Malnutrition Score in Patients on Hemodialysis
Malnutrition is widely prevalent among patients on hemodialysis. Malnutrition can be estimated using a fully quantitative scoring system Subjective Global Assessment-Dialysis Malnutrition Score which is simple, reliable and dynamic. The primary objective of the study was to assess the severity of malnutrition in patients with end stage renal disease and undergoing hemodialysis in a tertiary car...
